• Type the label size you measured, and it prints at that size. A new stationery choice — *My own size* — follows the width and height you type instead of squaring them up to an A4 sheet. The first sticker starts in the very corner, the next one after the width plus the gap, and the page is your labels and nothing else. Every other stationery answers "what is this cut to" and then changes your design to agree; this one does not.
• The software works out how many fit across your printer. It asks the printer itself what it can mark — never a paper chart, which is wrong the day you buy a machine that is not on it — and says on the screen how many labels of that width fit, with one button to take the answer. A label wider than the print head is said plainly, before the roll goes through.
• A label sheet that will not fit is no longer printed silently. An A4 sheet design sent to a label printer came out at half size in a corner of the stock, with nothing anywhere saying why: Windows does not refuse a page bigger than the printer takes, it substitutes its own and shrinks the artwork into it. The screen now names the printer, both page widths, what fraction of its size each label will be, and the setting that fixes it.
• The gap between labels does what the box says. A hidden per-column setting could quietly beat the one on the card, so a shop set 4mm and got none, with the box still reading 4. Clearing a number box no longer stores a zero either — blank means "not said", and a typed 0 still means 0.
