Phone app: purchase items

Everything this phone screen can show, in the app’s own words. A “…” is a name, number or date filled in at the time.

• Scan barcode — Scan an item’s barcode to add it.
• Last cost … — What this item cost last time.
• FREIGHT INWARD — An example: type what the charge is, such as FREIGHT INWARD or PACKING.
• Say what it is - FREIGHT, PACKING — A charge needs a name before it can be added, such as FREIGHT or PACKING.
• Type the amount — Type the amount in rupees.
• … is one of your goods - add it on Search.
• e.g. 12/28 — Month and year, like 12/28.
• left — Lines the text up on the left.
• Scan the batch — Scan the barcode on the pack to fill the batch.
• Rate went up — The supplier charged more for this item than last time.
• Bought at … · now … (+…%) — What it cost last time, what it costs on this bill, and the rise.
• Raise the sale rate to … (same markup) — Tap to raise the selling rate so the margin stays what it was before the cost went up.
• Margin — Sale value less cost.
• Cost … a piece · margin …% on … — What one piece costs after discount and free goods, and the margin at the selling rate.
• last came … — When this item last came in from a supplier.
• The quantity must be more than 0 — Type how many came.
• The rate cannot be below 0 — The rate must be zero or more.
• Discount is between 0 and 100% — A discount is a percentage from 0 to 100.
• Free goods cannot be below 0 — Free goods must be zero or more.
• Type the batch number, or pick one you have
• … is not an expiry - type the month as on the pack, e.g. 12/28
• That expiry has already passed - expired stock cannot be received.
• … is not a month - type it as on the pack, e.g. 08/26
• The manufacturing month cannot be after the expiry month.
• Shelf life is a number of months - 12, 24, 36.
• MRP cannot be below 0 — The MRP must be zero or more.
