New to computers?
Only what you need for Aned Book. Take it slowly — nothing here can harm your books.
The mouse
Click: press the left button once. This opens or chooses something.
Double-click: press the left button twice, quickly. This opens a file or a program.
Right-click: press the right button once. Aned Book does not need it.
Scroll: turn the small wheel between the buttons to move the page up and down.
The keys Aned Book uses
Enter — moves to the next box. Press it after typing each thing.
Tab — also moves to the next box. Shift + Tab goes back one box.
Esc — closes a window without saving.
Backspace — rubs out the letter before the cursor.
F2 — a new sale bill, from almost any screen. F10 — save. F9 — print.
Downloading and opening the setup
On anedya.net press Download. The file goes into your Downloads folder.
It is a ZIP — a packed folder. Right-click it and choose “Extract All”, or double-click it to open it.
Double-click the setup file inside to install.
“Windows protected your PC”
Windows shows this for new programs it has not seen before. It does not mean anything is wrong.
Press “More info”, then “Run anyway”.
Where your books are kept
Everything Aned Book writes — your bills, items, customers and backups — stays inside the folder you installed it in.
Nothing goes to the internet. If the computer breaks, only a backup can bring your books back.
Copying a backup to a pen drive
Put the pen drive in. Aned Book can keep a second copy of every backup on it by itself.
