How to see who has owed you the longest

The ageing report splits what each customer owes into how old it is — the list you read to decide who to ring first.

  1. Open Vouchers, Outstanding Ageing. The top line splits the total into age brackets.

  3. The note says how payments were matched to bills. On accounts kept “on account”, money received goes against the oldest bill first. An opening balance has no date, so it counts as the oldest money there is.
